Four must try coffee shops near Drury
Community, Lifestyle February 24, 2026, 0 CommentThere are many coffee shops throughout Springfield, and the challenge becomes being decisive with plentiful options. Do you want a quiet study environment? Tasty Coffee? A good hangout spot? You are sure to find at least one coffee shop around Springfield that will fit what you’re looking for in any given moment. For college students, grabbing a coffee and going somewhere to study is a must, especially when you’re knee-deep in homework. The Drury University Mirror has ranked a few of the best coffee shops to get students through the spring semester.

1. Eurasia Coffee Co.
445 E. Commercial St., Springfield
Looking for an oasis within walking distance of campus? Located on Springfield’s historic C-street, Eurasia is easily one of the best study spots for Drury students. It is a quaint and minimalist cafe that provides great space for study groups, both big and small. The coffee is delicious; and, even if you’re not a coffee drinker, they have a variety of tea and smoothie options. Eurasia offers quality food choices, which is evident all the way from their banana bread to their fan-favorite, breakfast naan’wich. This is a great choice if you need to lock in for a few hours, especially if you are seeking to stick around for brunch.

2. Mudhouse Coffee
323 South Ave, Springfield
Opened in 1998, Mudhouse Coffee is one of the best-known coffee shops in the Springfield area, and it is for good reason. Between their wide array of coffee syrup flavor options and their tasty breakfast burritos, you cannot go wrong stopping by while you are downtown. Local art is displayed throughout the shop, and it is a perfectly central location for a morning study session. As one of Springfield’s most popular coffee shops, however, finding seating can be a real challenge. Nearby parking can also be difficult to come by, especially during the weekend. Still, Mudhouse Coffee is easily worth a walk from the nearest parking garage to taste their famous coffee.

3. Potter’s House
724 S National Ave, Springfield
Potter’s House likely has the coziest cafe atmosphere across Springfield. Neighboring the Missouri State campus, Potters House is located in a charming, refurbished home. In addition to their many intimate study spaces, they offer a wide range of drink options from coffee, smoothies, to Italian soda. The only downside is that there are not many food options on their menu; so, if you are planning to stay for several hours, you may have to visit another local restaurant for food. Regardless, the coffee and the cute atmosphere are ideal for your next pre-exam cram. We highly recommend stopping by to try some of the most affordable coffee in town.
4. Travellers House Coffee & Tea
824 S National Ave, Springfield
If you are near Missouri State’s campus, you can also check out Travellers House: one of the tastiest cafes to choose for group studying. Finding parking can occasionally be difficult, and the modern environment can feel more like a Starbucks than a local gem. However, their coffee and food easily put them among the best in Springfield. The croissant sandwiches at Travellers House are a must try, and paired with their caramel brûlée latte, you are set to be the most productive student your professors have seen.
Each coffee shop on this ranking has its own unique atmosphere. Whether you are looking for that quintessential college town cafe or a quiet getaway from campus, these options are bucket list items for any caffeine-deprived Drury student.
