SUB to host annual May Ball on April 23rd
Community April 21, 2022, Comments Off 88Drury’s annual May Ball, presented by SUB, is again around the corner for Panthers to look forward to. For the past two years, the COVID pandemic has changed how May Ball has been presented, but this year, it is back in full swing, in all its glory. Don’t miss it, this year’s May Ball will happen before the month of May. It will be on Saturday April 23rd, in the FSC Ballroom from 9 PM to 1 AM.
Posters around campus have announced that the theme for this year is “Starry Night,” which can be attended in semi-formal attire, in whichever way you decide to fit the theme. Dress dark like the night or sparkling like the stars, or even as colorful as fireworks.
This year, entertainment will include a DJ, 360° photobooth, snacks, sweets from a local bakery, yard games, catering from Raising Cane’s, a caricature artist, and various giveaways. There will also be a cash bar, with alcoholic drinks for those over the age of 21, and mocktails for all else.
All students are welcome, be sure to fill out the RSVP form linked in the Instagram bio of @SUBatDrury.
May Ball has been a tradition at Drury for six years (not occurring in 2020), with the first one being held in 2015. Occasionally, it is held in May, but not uncommonly in April as well. Its history includes past themes such as “Into the Enchanted Forest” in 2016, “Fly Me To the Moon” in 2018, and “Under the Big Top,” a COVID-conscious carnival in 2021.
This year’s May Ball will surely be the continuation of a beloved Panther tradition. Attend this Saturday to be a part of this unforgettable event.
