Disney Parks travelers rejoice! You can now hug Mickey and his friends again! Disney Food Blog recently published an article online about how Disney World is bringing back traditional character meet and greets. It’s been two years since park goers have been able to hug and interact up close and personally with their favorite characters. Additionally, guests will get to receive autographs from characters again—-I still have some of my old autograph books from my previous trips, as getting autographs is a big part of the meet and greet experience!  According to Disney Parks Blog, regular character meet and greets will return on April 18 at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts, as well as on Disney Cruise Line and at Aulani Resort in Hawaii. Disney has been gradually working to get back to normal by reducing social distancing restrictions. Another experience that has returned is character dining experiences. The company has stated that not all locations will be opened back up immediately, but they anticipate and are hopeful for a full reopening within the coming months. Disney World recently celebrated it’s 50th anniversary with new parades, shows, and firework shows, as well as familiar favorites. With summer vacation right around the corner, now is the time to experience the magic—-complete with the return of getting to hug Mickey and his friends!
