22 Wacky Ways 2 Celebrate Two’s Day
Uncategorized February 19, 2022, Comments Off 1248In case you haven’t heard, Two’s Day is the upcoming holiday celebrated on Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022, (also written as 2’sday, on 2/22/22.) Now, you can see why this is terribly exciting. It got me thinking: How many things can we do that have to do with twos?
Here are some ideas if you’re looking to celebrate this terrifically timed Tuesday triumph.
- Find someone who turns 22 on 2/22/22 and get their autograph.
- Treat yourself to two scoops of ice cream, custard or any special treat, really, because it’s an important holiday.
- Buy something using only $2 bills.
- Stare at the clock until it turns 2:22:22, then relish in the moment. (Night owls, you have two chances for this. Bonus points for anyone who witnesses both.)
- Taco 2’s-day!!!
- Do some yoga and focus on the two sides of your body. For those of us who have them, stretch both your arms, both your legs and try to achieve an improved overall balance.
- Greet everyone twice. If they ask you why, reply with, “Why, it’s Two’s Day, of course!”
- If you watch a movie today, make sure it’s a sequel.
- Only eat things with a packaged calorie count divisible by 2. Oh wait, that’s pretty much almost everything. Enjoy!
- Get creative: Draw or write something using both of your hands. Ambidextrous people will have a one-up on this one.
- Eat some Tootsie pops, tomatoes, …
- Proofread that paper twice instead of once. You’ll thank me later.
- If you’ve been looking for a sign to dye your hair two different colors, here is your chance!
- Bury a time capsule with a label that says: “To Be Opened ONLY On 2/22/2222.” (Include a copy of this article in it, to help them celebrate.)
- Visit a dentist, have them look at your 2ths. (Read: “tooths,” just bear with me for the sake of this article.)
- Exercise in sets of twos (22 pushups, two miles of running…22 miles of running?)
- Don’t be afraid to wear that super cool outfit two days in a row. 22 days in a row wouldn’t be as cool, so maybe don’t do that.
- Visit Two Trees, a historical landmark in sunny Ventura, California. (Or, Two Tree Island in Missouri’s neighboring state, Oklahoma.)
- Try out a 2x2x2 Rubik’s cube.
- If you have a twin, wear the same outfit, and try to convince people you cloned yourself specifically for the sake of this holiday.
- Celebrate 2 holidays at once! This one, of course, and another February 22nd holiday, such as World Thinking Day, National Cook a Sweet Potato Day or National Wildlife Day (in honor of Steve Irwin’s birthday).
And last but not least,
22. Give someone you love two gifts.
I hope you’ll take the time to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime holiday as much as I will.
