Fall fun on campus: The upcoming SUB Halloween event
Campus News, Community October 29, 2021, Comments Off 115If you’re looking for some Halloween fun this weekend The Student Union Board (SUB) is hosting a Halloween event on Saturday October 30 from 6-8pm on Drury Lane, similar to last year’s event. If the weather requires the event will be held in the ballroom of the Finley Student Center (FSC.) The event will include many different activities, something for everyone to enjoy.
“There will be slime making, pumpkin painting and a costume contest,” said SUB’s VP of Traditions and Homecoming Corbin Tarr.
But, these activities are not the entirety of the event. This year’s Halloween event will include participation from clubs on campus. The clubs will be set up with tables and treats, but Tarr said exactly which clubs will be participating was to remain a surprise.
The event will also include some traditional Halloween elements for those who do not wish to participate in the activities. Since this is a Halloween event candy and costumes will not be excluded.
“There will be trick or treating and a costume contest,” said Tarr about what else to expect of the event.
Make sure to bring your spookiest face mask because all of Drury’s COVID polices will be practiced at all times during the event.
“The exact policies will depend on if the event is is outdoors or indoors, but we will be following all of Drury’s COVID policies,” said Tarr on weather students should expect COVID restrictions.
Tarr encourages everyone to “come and have fun!” this Saturday and celebrate Halloween with SUB. The event is sure to be fun and spooky.
