Tri Delta presents Are You Smarter Than a Tri Delta?: Trivia Night for St. Jude
Campus News February 28, 2020, Comments Off 155Put your trivia knowledge to the test for a great cause as Drury’s Delta Delta Delta Chapter hosts their 2nd annual Trivia Night themed “Are You Smarter Than A Tri Delta?” on Thursday, March 5 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will be held in the Ballroom of the Findley Student Center. All proceeds raised are benefitting their national philanthropy, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
More about the event
Chapter President, Hope Boston, tells that not only herself, but the entire chapter of about 50 women are extremely excited for the annual event with this year’s fun twist.
“The Trivia Night is based around this whole idea of ‘Are You Smarter Than A Tri Delta?’ so you have teams of up to 10 that play against a team of Deltas on stage and each first question of a category will head off against a Tri Delta,” explains Boston. “It’s basically trivia but also mixed in with playing Tri Deltas to make it more fun and competitive.”
Along with the game of questions, there will also be a raffle auction and a local patient and their family at the event to share their experience with St. Jude.
“This is a newer event for us and we’re so eager to see how many people we can get to come and show their support for St. Jude while showing off their trivia skills,” proclaims Boston. “We are working so hard to make this event something that will be fun for everyone while showing our love for an organization that we care a lot about!”
An important cause
Tri Delta nationally proclaimed St. Jude as their national partner in 1999 and since then, Tri Deltas all over the country have worked to raise over $71 million for the organization. The Drury Tri Delta Chapter is pleased to announce they have raised $12,000 in just this academic calendar and hope to reach their goal of $20,000 by the end of the school year.
