Celebrating the season with food, frights and fun

No one wants fall break to be over, but the spooky season is just beginning! Arrive back to campus just in time to experience the Drury Student Union Board’s Fall Fest 2019.

Lauren Pyle, VP of membership for Student Union Board is excited to help organize her third fall fest and believes everyone will find something to do and love at this year’s celebration.

“Fall Fest is one of the bigger events this semester to really just bring the Drury community together and have cool activities for students they might not get otherwise. People should definitely attend because it’s a great way to hang out with friends, meet people, and get free giveaways. I won’t spoil too much but I know there will be food throughout the week, including Chick-Fil-A, and t-shirt giveaways. The theme this year is a throwback theme so some of the activities fall under that category including the shirt design,” said Pyle.

Fall Fest will be hosted the week of Oct. 21 right after fall break. Each day will have different fun activities for everyone to enjoy.

“On Monday the 21st from 7-9 pm at the 1984 arcade downtown as well as pizza and cookies. Wednesday the 23: from 7-9 pm on campus and there will be a caramel apple bar, cotton candy, popcorn, Chick-Fil-A nuggets and more! T-shirts are being given out that night so I would encourage people to get there early because it’s first come first serve and we only have a certain amount. Friday the 25th: after dark haunted house event, from 7 to close we are inviting everyone to come out to Dungeons of Doom. Be prepared to get scared! And finally, Saturday the 26th, we will be apple picking at Sunshine Farms from 9:30-11:30,” said Pyle.

Events will be free for students and some have limits on the number of people who are able to take part so make sure to get there early! This is an event you won’t want to miss!

“Rachel Bollinger (VP of Fall Fest and Spring Fling) and her committee have done an amazing job and I am looking forward to my last Fall Fest. Everyone has been working really hard to make it a great event for students,” said Pyle
